Hari Raya 2006
HAHAHAHAHAH.
Ok, had tons of fun and tons of food and visited places.
Can't really say much about it.
Doubt there were many (or any for that matter) pics of me.
This raya kind of felt like it was rushed for some reason.
*PICS COMING SOON (if there is any)*
p.s. Happy Birthday Rish!

Theres gramps, chilling with the band
OH! I was again the "pokok mangga" bearer.
Kind of like a thing for me, cause weirdly enough i've been the bearer of the "pokok mangga" for all the weddings I was a part of.
Wanted to wait for the better quality pictures before posting this up but I felt that it might be too long of a wait, so I posted it up anyway.
Also the fact that most of the after-wedding-party pics were on the official camera.
Hehehe which I believe was another whole shindig by itself.
p.s. Congratulations Ayah Chik !

Wedding Jam 2 through 4
I think I got the 311 songs down.
Now its down to sharpening the Micheal Buble's and Bobby Caldwell's songs.
A song from the original list; Fly me to the moon by Frank Sinatra was revived on the count of an aunty who wanted to sing at the wedding.
Thankfully the chords were pretty straight forward.
3rd wedding jamming/practice session.
Same ol' thing
Beginning to get sick of the songs already, which is really a good sign ... really.
The wedding co-ordinator came by to check the band out.
Hahah some of us (yes including me) (actually especially me) got so nervous that we messed up here and there.
It was better after awhile once we got used to our new guest.
4th wedding jamming/practice session.
Pretty much the last session before the wedding.
Planned out the order of the songs, timed ourselves and did "dress rehearsels".
Heheh not bad, its only going to be infront of about 200++ over people whom 3/4 are strangers.
So no pressure, its only the last session before THE big day.
the small amp packs quite a punch.

Wedding Jam 1
Nice nice, as in our number of songs were cut down to 7 ^^
Micheal Buble - Save the last dance, Sway
Innuendo - Belaian Jiwa
Manbai - Kau Ilhamku
311 - Amber, Love Song
Bobby Caldwell - What you won't do for love
Learned all the songs that night and was thankful that I didn't have to really play all of them,
(only needed to really know 5 of em)
which was another plus of course ^^
Had a little trouble with the full chords at first
cause i'm used to playing songs with either open chords or power chords
(which in my opinion; are a whole lot easier to use) .
All in all it was good, especially the 'goreng' session the bassis had with the drummer.
Hahah forgot how fun this was.
p.s. Happy Birthday Jas !

Family Meeting
the family decided to brief us all on some stuff
(hahah sounds cool, "the family")
One of the itenararies were about the music.
Since there were a few musicians in the family,
it was decided that there would be a band,
consisting of most the cousins.
"Oh great", I thought.
I haven't been playing the guitar in awhile,
so its gonna take some time to get back on the bike.
The songs that were set (after much discussion) (well not really)
are;
Micheal Buble - Save the last dance, Sway
Frank Sinatra - Fly me to the moon
Sheila Majid - Dia, Sinaran
Innuendo - Belaian Jiwa
Manbai - Kau Ilhamku
GSC - Senyuman Ragamu (KIV)
311 - Amber, Love Song
James Brown - Play That Funky Music
Doobie Brothers - Long Train Running
What would i do for love <-- no idea by whom
"Wow", I thought.
How the heck am I going to remember all these ?
LOL then I thought again ...
Oh man ! Just how cool it would playing all these ...
in my baju melayu !
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Shitzer, I got a feeling its gonna be one of those kodak moments.
p.s. Happy birthday May Yee !

I look like WHO?
It was nice meeting up with the relatives I haven't seen in awhile.
One particular uncle made a comment on how I looked like Anthony Perkins.
Being one with extra-ordinary lack of knowledge in the entertainment industry, I didn't know who Anthony Perkins was.
(yes yes I know, i'm well prepared for the verbal bashing I'm gonna get from some of my cousins from the other side for not knowing who this guy is)
So I did what any respectable lazy Malaysian nephew would do,
smile, nod and accept it as a compliment.
And then did what any respectable IT savvy person would do,
Googled it !
ok back to the wedding ...
The groom looked smart.
The bride looked beautiful.
The wedding was very very nice, packed with all the frills and laces.
It looked really classy, so classy in fact that it got me thinking how much was spent on the wedding.
Then it dawned upon me,
How much is MY wedding gonna cost?
Oh man !
Then it hit me again,
Its not JUST the wedding, its also the house, the cars and probably even ..
Ok maybe those are the big ones that I can think of right now, but i'm pretty sure there are more.
ok back to my lack of knowledge ...
After a short research on my part, I found out that Anthony Perkins was an actor
and one of the more famous movies he acted in was in the original Psycho.
You know the scene some movies have where a person comes into the shower and stabs the person taking a shower then the shifts to a scene where blood is flowing down the drain accompanied by that eerie background music?
Well THAT scene was taken from Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.
Anthony Perkins played Norman Bates, the serial killer in the movie.
After the wedding, I went home and took a much desired nap.
There is nothing much quite like a good nap after a tiring day.Unfortunately A good friend of mine had to wake woke me up from my slumber and asked if I had any plans tonight.
One thing lead to another, and there I was, off my bed and outside, half dead and hanging out with my friends.
Bumped into a lot of people from high school which was also nice since I haven't seen some of them in ages.
Had barrels of fun, which made the night totally worth getting out of bed for.
But then again, that's the thing with this particular group of friends ...
Laughter is always in abundance.
